This Privacy Policy describes how [[LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME]] d/b/a EverydayVital (“we” or “us”) collects and uses information when you use the everydayvitalshop.com website (the “Site”). It covers what we gather while you browse and buy, and what we do with it. It does not cover information you give us offline or through other channels (for example by telephone or by post).
Please read it carefully. By using the Site you agree that your use, and any dispute about privacy, is governed by this policy. If we change it, we post the revised version here and update the date above; continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
What we collect and why
We store information you give us on purpose: when you place an order we ask for your name, email address, phone number (optional) and shipping and billing addresses. Card details are entered on our payment provider's secure page and never reach our own servers. If you choose auto-ship, the payment provider keeps your card on file so it can bill each renewal until you cancel, and we keep a record of your agreement to the auto-ship terms. We only contact people who have ordered from us or asked to hear from us.
We also record information generated automatically as you move through the Site, such as how your device connects to the internet, which helps us serve pages properly and count visits. Your cart is stored in your browser's local storage so it is still there when you come back.
With your consent only, we use cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files your browser stores for record-keeping; they tell us how and when the Site is used, help us measure and deliver advertising, and count unique visitors. With your consent we also note how you arrived (campaign parameters, click IDs and landing page). We may use web beacons (single-pixel images) to read cookies and count visitors or email opens. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the banner on your first visit; to change your choice later, clear this site's cookies and reload.
We use the information to process and ship your orders, take payment, answer your messages, prevent fraud, meet our legal obligations, tailor the Site, and, only if you opted in, send you email about our own products. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out by writing to [[SUPPORT_EMAIL]].
We do not sell or trade your personal information
We never sell, rent or trade personal information to outside parties. We share it only with the service providers needed to serve you: our payment processor (to charge your card securely), our manufacturing, printing, shipping and fulfillment partners (to make and deliver your order) and our email provider (to send order confirmations and, with your consent, our own messages), and only as far as each needs to do its job. These providers are bound by contract to use your information solely on our behalf. We do not supply customer lists or personal information to data brokers, list marketers or any other outside organisation.
Anything you choose to make public online, for example in a review, on social media or in a chat, can be read and used by others. We cannot control that use.
Third-party advertisers and ad networks that place advertising for us may collect information through their own cookies or beacons to present and measure their ads. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours. If that concerns you, review those policies on their sites.
The Site may link to other websites and third-party products. When you follow such a link, the other operator's privacy policy applies to whatever you share there.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or the public.
If the business is sold, merged or acquired, customer information may be among the assets transferred.
Google Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics advertising features to run the business, including:
- Remarketing with Google Analytics
- Google Display Network impression reporting
- DoubleClick platform integrations
- Google Analytics demographics and interest reporting
Using these features means we must tell you that we and third-party vendors use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to gather data about your activity on the Site. Among other things this lets us email you a reminder if you start checkout and leave before finishing, and reach people who have visited the Site before with relevant ads.
You can opt out of Google's use of cookies at Google's ad settings and out of third-party vendor cookies at the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
Facebook / Meta
As an advertiser on Facebook, we (not Facebook) may collect content or information from a Facebook user and use it as described in this policy. With your consent, order events may be shared with Meta to measure ad performance. We follow Facebook's data use restrictions:
- Data collected, received or derived from our Facebook ads (“Facebook advertising data”) is shared only with those acting on our behalf, such as a service provider, and we are responsible for making sure they protect it, limit their use of it and keep it confidential.
- We use Facebook advertising data only on an aggregate and anonymous basis to assess the performance of our own campaigns, not for retargeting across advertisers, commingling, piggybacking or redirecting with tags, unless Facebook authorises it.
- We do not use Facebook advertising data, including ad targeting criteria, to build, append to, edit, influence or augment user profiles, including profiles tied to a mobile device identifier or any other identifier of a particular user, browser, computer or device.
- We do not transfer Facebook advertising data (even anonymous, aggregate or derived data) to any ad network, ad exchange, data broker or other advertising or monetisation service.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The GDPR took effect on May 25, 2018 and protects the data of European Union residents.
We do not target the EU or do business there in any meaningful way. If data you give us in the course of using the Site is nonetheless governed by the GDPR, we will follow the relevant parts of the Regulation.
If you live in, or are visiting from, the European Economic Area you may have the right to ask us for access to, correction of, deletion of, portability of, and restriction of or objection to the processing of your personal data, including the “right to be forgotten.”
To make such a request, write to our GDPR contact at [[SUPPORT_EMAIL]].
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
The CCPA took effect on January 1, 2020 and protects the personal information of California residents.
The CCPA applies only to companies above certain thresholds, which to the best of our knowledge we do not meet. If that changes, and if data you give us is governed by the CCPA, we will follow the relevant parts of the Act.
If you are a California resident you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and which third parties it has been shared with, to receive a portable copy, to opt out of marketing or of any sale of your information, and to ask us to delete it.
To make such a request, write to our CCPA contact at [[SUPPORT_EMAIL]].
Children's privacy
This statement explains our practice regarding personal information from children under thirteen and their rights under federal law.
- The Site is not directed at children under thirteen and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We screen people who submit personal information to prevent under-thirteens from doing so. If we learn we have received such information by mistake, we delete it. Should our practice ever change, we will obtain verifiable parental consent first.
- Because we collect no such information, we do not knowingly share it with third parties.
- We do not knowingly let children under thirteen post or distribute personal contact information through the Site.
- We do not make a child's participation in any Site activity conditional on providing personal information.
How we store your information
Your information lives with the service providers that run the Site, process your order and send our email, and is accessible only to the people who need it for those jobs. We keep order records as long as tax and accounting rules require and protect them with industry-standard safeguards.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link; using it removes you from our list at any time.
